First Look At Bing - Better Than Expected

Aside from its amazing ability to find illicit things for 13 year old males, is Bing any good? Seems to be, I have just started to test it, but I seem to be not alone in the "well this is much better than Live was department." Let's break it down:

TechCrunch has a plethora of positive user comments from the internet here.

ITWire comments that Microsoft has improved on several Google inventions here.

Loic has a strange conversation with Bing, first running an ego search and then hunting for porn.

Mark Evans calls it 'promising.'

And finally Fast Company comes in and says that new engine is quite impressive.

All in all I am quite impressed at what Bing has been able to do, aside from have an atrocious name. It is wonderful to see renewed competition into the search engine space. As new startups such as Cuil seem to not be able to dent the giants, perhaps we will just have to depend on Microsoft  to but up against Google. Apple search engine anyone?
