FriendFeed Just Broke Our RSS Numbers

Checking your websites' stats first thing in the morning is routine for most of us. I suppose that if you did do this, you noticed a gigantic boost in your RSS numbers. Turns out FriendFeed is behind this. They are now counting every person that subscribes to your feed on FF as an individual subscriber.

Great, but I don't buy it. They are trying to equate a real RSS subscriber and a follower in FF. Completely different, as they consume mismatched amounts of content. Think about it, what percent of your FF subscribers will read an article from your blog compared to a RSS subscriber?

No comparison. I hope that FriendFeed turns this off, but knowing startups, I doubt we will be so lucky.
