I recall the advent of the iPod Video quite well, it came out three days after I bought my iPod Photo. That aside, take a look at those names! Could anything be more dull? Utilitarian is fine, but boring is a different animal. Apple seems happy though, to continue the trend into new product lines (again), and we now have rumors of the "iPhone Video." Really? After the iPhone 3G?

Anyway.

TUAW has some tipster news and a grainy screenshot that seems to corroborate this. Given that this involves Apple, the echo chamber is in full effect, take a look:

No matter how you slice that, it is an impressive amount of fluff about a damn name. I am, although I should know better by now, shocked at the nigh orgasmic ridiculous press that even the slightest Apple update brings. Here is an idea: save all the time worrying about it, wait for Jobs to announce it, and then buy it like you were going to. All that would do would be to give you a bunch of your time and bandwidth back. Just a thought, from a dirty PC fanboy.
